If you're brand new to riding, I would suggest you start out with something small, 250cc or less, just to get the hang of riding. Buy an old beater that you can tear up for a month or two then you will be better able to decide what bike you want.

If you have some riding experience and are looking for a small cruiser, the Savage is the bike for you. I used to have a girlfriend about your size (don't tell my wife ;-) and she loved the '87 Savage I had at the time, both as a passenger and driver. It's low and light but has enough power to keep up with bigger bikes. I put 30,000 miles on that '87 Savage in three years, riding with HD's, Goldwings, etc and never had any trouble keeping up. I was able to leave a couple of Honda 750's in the dust going up the pass out of Jackson Hole Wyoming. They couldn't believe a little 650 with a four speed transmission could have so much power.

If you have the experience, you can handle any bike you want. I've seen a gal smaller than you ride a full dress '69 Hog.

Ride Free.
